About the event
In the Footsteps of Toronto’s Early Jewish Doctors, Nurses, and Midwives
A Walking Tour in downtown Toronto. This walking tour will be led by Sharoni Sibony, an educator, artist, creative facilitator, and Jewish community organizer.
Join Sharoni and members of the JMAO community to discover the remarkable legacy of Toronto’s early Jewish medical practitioners -- the physicians, nurses, midwives, and welfare workers -- who broke barriers and brought compassionate care to a poor but burgeoning Jewish community.
Starting Point: 136 Beverley Street (St. Patrick Station)
Ending Point: 25 Bellevue Avenue (Parking Lot)
